Erk.

Again, worth asking around as there are a few spraymeisters on here. (And some people quite good at respraying cars too)

Rotten luck ZT.

I never know how people manage that. It is incredibly hard to screw up painting like that unless you do nothing to the car first! Even a light scuff back and a gallon or two of panel wipe/thinners will stick if you are not worried about dents and chips showing through. I think they must wax the car before they spray it ;)

I wouldn't worry too much. If it still has the original paint showing underneath and the new paint has reacted a careful few hours with a DA should get it back pretty easily. Just get all the new stuff off in case you get a repeat :)

Bummer about the paint - was going to say, 5th gens in (non-metallic) red are really uncommon.

You're probably looking at about a grand mate, if done at a proper bodyshop - for just a blow over in red.

There's a Cornish JDM Car Club on Facebook (although in fairness, most people there have UKDM Hondas/Toyotas/Nissans etc and just claim JDM - I don't know why) but some of them have paint equipment/skills so you may be able to strike up a deal with one of them.
