1. After installing new brake pads, make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 30-35 mph applying moderate pressure.

2. Make an additional 2 to 3 hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph.

3. DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!

4. Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.

5. After step 4 your new pads are ready for use.

Hope that helps. When I did mine I got some smoke coming out, just to warn you! ;-)

:o :( that's okay!

It's different for different pads but that's what hawk suggest and what I did and never had any problems on track!

The amount of times you've had to do that for me alone must be approaching double figures

Sounds like another one for the Kawa suggestion pot? Put a bigger gap between the + and - rep buttons? (There's definitely space for that).

But then again, that would remove the 'accidental' excuse that people can peddle at the moment... :hurr: ;)

The spacing is fine IMO, just sometimes from my iYuppy I press it before the page finishes loading completely, and sometimes this means the layout shifts a bit as I press it. It's fine otherwise, just me being a div. It would be nice to have a 'neutralise' rep button or something so per post you could remove your own + or - rep and still be able to do it again to correct it... but obviously not allowing infinite amounts of repping per post. This is probably more complicated than it seems though and to be fair the forum has had some cracking updates recently, don't want to create more work for a system that works well 99% of the time. ;)
