No, don't kill it! ..or yourself. Not until you've shared your wiper wiring guide anyway :)

Drive it till it dies if it needs too much work long term, then get another one, if you spend decent money you'll get a minter for far less than anything else that comes even close to the same quality and performance.

been thinking along the same lines, but finding a minter  i would has loads of spares though. to be honest the rust isnt that bad but its what is hiding behind the plastic skirts that worries me. on the outside its not visable but i know its there.

A low mileage H22 would be worth protecting from cambelt snap, because it would still be worth something when the rest of the car died?

hello, rust can be removed and new metal welded in, half the classics have had new metal at some point and with mileage that low!!! The rust behind the sill is an easy job to a good fabricator! Think about it, ludes are not plenty any more.

its where its rusting thats the problem, windscreen pillar :o its not that bad, but it can only get worse, it would require the windscreen removing to get to it. as for the sills, i do have a pair in the shed, made them last year but never got around to fitting them (welder mate moved away, why couldnt he wait another week  ) it was also rear ended a couple of years ago and although it hasnt effected the car (unless you look real close) - it will, you just cant see it yet.

I see get what you mean, just a shame seeing them die  Im loving mine right now even with its faults which I am still chasing, seeing rust on the arches is killing me, money is always the issue. I can do the work myself no sweat, but buying the materials is not to much to ask from a wage packet is it? Anyway, hope you find a good use for the lude whatever you choose to do with it, hell if I could I would have a few
