I don't trust the length given on Wiki. It's that time of year when I renew my parking permit, the Prelude (no choice of year) is apparently over 4.45 metres. The 5G is +7cm over the limit according to Wiki so is going to cost me more to park than if I had a 4G (-1cm under according to Wiki). This is not fair.

Going just by Wikipedia there is a 0.5 metre range in length between the generations, this means the difference in parking a 1G vs a 5G per year is the grand sum of £12! But there is no option for which year of Prelude you're buying a permit for. A massive oversight by Norwich City Council if you ask me.

If I can prove the 5G is under 4.45 I will save 12 quid per year and one of you will get some rep.

Also I have no idea what sums they used to come up with the pricing but it isn't proportional/making sense to me.
vehicle length 6 months 12 months 18 months
Residents - short vehicle £12 £17 £21
Residents - medium vehicle £17 £26 £35
Residents - long vehicle £24 £38 £50

Also I will welcome any rep for most boring thread of 2013 if you like. I'm sure I've got 2nd and 3rd place in the running somewhere too.

If you cba to read that then just tell me the official length of a 5G please
