I used the rust buster stuff for everything rear of the floor of the car, it was pretty good and went on well, but dried quickly and had to work quickly.
For the middle section I used BH's epoxy mastic, it's a bit thinner and stays workable for longer, and I would use it as a preference if deciding between the two.
I've read that the 3M 1k seam sealer is a good as it gets for a 1k application, but even better is a 2k sealer, though gloriously expensive.
Just be careful with the air gun and you'll be ok.
I didn't use the BH underbody as I'm not a fan of a semi solid finish coat (even though I have tins of the stuff in the garage:roll: )and went with a 3M bitumen coat, I just thought working on the car in the future would be a messy affair. Though I might do the wheel arches with it in the future.

Treating box sections/cavities with bilt hamber
I swear by 3M's products. They know their $hit so to speak.
There are just so many options when it comes to sorting out rust.
Considering this project will take the best part of several days hard and dirty work, and cost probably £100 ish with all materials, I'm giving some serious thought to paying about £300 and getting it done by rust.co.uk - RUSTBUSTER HOT-FOG RUSTPROOFING SERVICE
I don't suppose anyone has any knowledge or experience of these guys?

Ive just done they DIY method on the arches and sills with Bilt Hamber - rekon i will need to redo it every couple of years.
Thats probably the most important question - how long will this protection by Rustbusters last and is there a quarantee?

Doesn't look like there's a guarantee as such. But the aftersales looks very good. I recon it would end up being more around the £500 mark because there's probably some welding to do on the sills considering the state of my arches.

I can't seem to find any reviews at all of this service. Although one of their exclusive products (fe-123 rust converter) has been very highly reviewed.Rustbuster wrote:VIP PREMIUM AFTER CARE SERVICE
On you vehicles rust proofing anniversary wash the underside and book the car in for an inspection, we will check over the cars underside and touch up with Dinitrol 4941 if required.
