Handbrake Cables

Post by jjmartin349571 » Tue Apr 23, 2013 8:50 pm

Just a quick one - would an O/S handbrake cable from a facelift 4th gen fit (and work) in a pre facelift car?

facelift cables about 100mm longer iirc.
You can get new cables from brakes international for ~£45.

What's the difference in facelift and pre in the 4ths?? I was going to put my centre console from the 91 into the 94 and noticed the handbrakes are mounted in different spots, it would require drilling, tapping and the cables to go with it.

In fact, looking at the invoice, a shade under £47 per cable, plus a fiver postage.

I should be fitting some this weekend, so I'll see how they line up before giving them an official plug.
