Urgent: 4th Gen Cat Temp Sensor thread size???

Does anyone know the thread size for the cat temperature sensor please?

Mine has snapped off and while the cat's off the car I want to drill it out, but I'll need to put a bolt in afterwards to plug the hole, while I sort out getting a replacement sensor to fit later.

(I wouldn't be able to drill it out in situ on the car and I really don't want to have to take the cat off again!!!)

I have visions of this being a metric fine thread, that I have taps for, but no bolt...

Another option for if I can't get this one drilled out and plugged today, have you got the cat and sensor in one piece off the dog?
Would you be able to post it next day delivery tomorrow?

EDIT: Just re-checked your or sale post and it looks like The Dog was de-cat'd with a sleeved joint between the header and centre/rear section, so you won't have the cat

I did have, but I cut it off when I thought I needed to earth it to the body.

I still have both the cat and the lead though. Maybe they can be attached back together?

Or, your other option is to just earth your cat lead to the body. You don't need it connected to the cat, and fundamentally your cat will still do the job it is intended to do, and still pass the mot. (unless it's knackered of course).

And earthing the cable will just get rid of the dash light.

Yep I know I can just ground it out (that's what I'd do while I had it by bunged up with a bolt, while I bought a new one) but I'm anal and want to be able to put it right...

I might well take that cat off you please crunchy, next time I'm in Soton (to save on postage) if that's ok. That means I can refit this one now, then work on removing the sensor on yours, replace that and swap them at a later date...

Yeah, ok mate.

What I will say is, the sensor on mine just spins around I think. And you might have to cut/grind some metalwork off the cat. But it works just fine.

I'm working right now (or supposed to be)

but when I get back home later I'll take a couple of pics & see if it's suitable for your requirements. If it is, you can have it for free. It's not worth anything to me.
