does the coolant pipes get hot top and bottom after a run? if they are both hot then it could be the coolant sensor can you not get it to performance autoworks to have a look?

I think there are 2 coolant sensors one just below the dizzy I think the other is either on the throttle body fitv I am sure someone will have all the details

Or a part number for an engine coolant temperature sensor or what ever its called?

Have you properly bled the coolant? It can take several attempts / lots of time to get it right.

If you idle the car with the rad cap off can you see bubbles coming up out of the water?

I shall give it a go. But to be fair even before I put the new radiator in, the problem was just starting. But that seems quite easy ill give that a try today.

So we got this sorted yesterday as well.

The original set up had a 4 plug ECU with a spoon vtec controller plugged in between the original ECU plugs and the ECU, but the remote controller is missing, so it serves no purpose. Strangely, there was no 4th plug??? TC seemed to be working and the tacho worked too though.

Removed the vtec controller and then re-checked that everything else was the same (yep old ECU worked fine, new 3 plug ECU worked ok except for TCS light on and no tacho).

Then set about trying to find the right wires from 4thgenphil's post. Very difficult when you don't have the 4th plug! Anyway, then I managed to find the 4th plug tucked away in the footwell and all was clear...

Linked the 2 wires as per Phil, plugged the new ECU in, orange TCS light on, tacho working

Then we removed the bulb for the orange TCS light and re-tested.
Obviously no orange TCS light, but the 2 green TCS lights still come on with the ignition and then go out, so for the MOT, all should appear normal.

I was thinking on the way home though, I can't work out why the tacho and TCS worked fine on the old ECU, when the 4th plug wasn't plugged in?

@4thgenphil any ideas???
