Not sure if you still need to know, but there is a T piece on the hose you marked. I haven't quite got round to removing the resonator yet  I've taken a photo where the T piece is more obvious:

Well, as it's called a "boost valve" I'm gonna go for UKDM's having one of these built in...

(and that's why they make less power)

JDM's don't have the air boost valve. Only on H22A1 & H22A2's. Not sure if it was kept on the 5th gens though???

It's in both the UK manuals and US compilation one - section 11-92 (Fuel and Emissions). Copy and pasted from manual:

'Air Boost Valve

Description:
When cranking the engine, the air boost valve supplies additional air to the intake to ease engine starting.'

There is a section through the valve too.

F*ck me this looks complicated Wurly I got no idea what your on about mate! My mates lude had exactly the same problem. On idle it would rev up and down up and down all the time was really weird. But hey that's no use to you!

How the heck did I miss that? I read the whole intake system section of Engine and the whole Fuel/Emissions section too Grrr...

Wonder why UKDM cars were thought to need this thing and rest of world didn't?

Now (just because I'm being a :ugeek: about it) I'm gonna have to work out what difference it makes to the charcoal canister with that being plumbed in somewhere different...
