Ok. I've had all 4 of them fitted and torqued in sequence as per manual and although its early days yet... a careful drive back from the garage and once around the block to let things settle and I am happy to report... there are no vibrations! It feels a little more solid too. To be honest it feels like stock.

Surprisingly the mounts that were removed were not too bad at all. Certainly not like the pics I've seen on the net with splits right through. There looks like just the beginnings of a tear on the gearbox mount, and the front mount was slightly worn around the edge where it had rubbed, but still serviceable. Ideal for someone to fill with sikaflex. The rear and timing belt side mount are ok.

I'm glad I paid for someone to fit them all, it wasn't easy to access/remove all the bolts, and get them to line back up with the new mounts in. All the intake pipe and air box had to be removed too. Lots of engine jossling, and loosening of brackets to get the bolts all back in, then torque down in sequence. Cost me £100 at mates rates which I think is fair. He had it overnight too. No way would I have attempted this on the drive.

Will report back some more after I've driven it for a week.

Which Sikaflex would you recommend? 221?

I cannot see any cracks or anything, but the driveline shunt seems to have been pissing me off a bit lately. It was always one of the few bugbears, but seems to be worse recently.

I used 221, worked wonders, like night and day and made the car really feel connected to the drivetrain. Though left the rear one alone to prevent cabin vibrations.

Thanks mate! That's sort of what I was thinking of doing.

Wonder if it works on the gearchange cables too...

EBAY LINK

DOHC Garage on EBay. Listing inc. import tax/vat/delivery was the cheapest way. Apex Performance are the UK dealer in Bradford of all places, but it works out more expensive by about £40. @judderod
