Right, there seems to be alot more to this than I first thought. I think I might hunt around and fine someone to fix my touchscreen.

The white module in the ebay pictures mounted behind the screen is the module that controls the heater and climate control parts of the car. I was thinking that all you would just need to re-wire the single connector of this module back into the standard JDM climate control unit, if you could get hold of one.

Thanks to @Honda-hardy i now have a replacement touch screen in my 5th gen.
Its good to have the main heating controls back and its connected to my rear view camera :D and it was only a 10 min job to swap it over.

You have to do it manually by pressing tv then a/v on the touch screen. As the one on my jvc head unit switches automatically when I select reverse.
