Oh Dear! Blown..................

HOSE!

Ever since owning the Type S this hose has always buldged out. Even after PAW took it in for new engine. Pretty sure its the same hose its always had
The other day i noticed it buldge out a bit more than usual.
Its fair to say this is a bigger buldge than ill ever get.

But today i notice smoke on the way home out the rear. I though it was water overspray from the tyres but it was more smoky on overrun.
Pulled into my drive and all smoke came out of the engine. No overheating and no change in engine performance.

Open the bonnet and BOOOM

And the hose.

I assume the hose has just got stressed over time, lots its job, fell out with its bitch, the engine block and blew its temper?

So is is Samco hose time? Any other hoses?

If that hose has gone I would replace the rest of the coolant hoses too mate, if you think they are of a similar age..
It was a quick way to clean your engine bay too by the looks of things! You're lucky it happened at home and not blasting down the motorway.

Already on the to do list. But its now being bumped up to the top.

So i can use Samco TCS178/C for the Accord Euro R. Apparently fit a 5th Gen.
Mizu are apparently better hoses and constructed better but they have Jewed out the Prelude.

More research me thinks.

That's the biggest bulge I've ever seen in a hose :? wouldn't have driven it like that tbh.

Be interested to hear if you do find a set that fits all the other hoses.

Do you need something to get you out of trouble quick while you order a replacement?
I have a used top hose off my UKDM I could send if you do.

you make me laugh ratty, you spend £££££££ on a motor, then ££££££££ to fit it but are willing to risk it all for a hose that you could have probably got for free

I know.

Its something that completely flew over my head.
Luckily this isnt my daily drive. I noticed it about 1miles from home. No overheating and its a simple fix.
