Post by Slicecares » Sun Jun 23, 2013 10:39 pm

Need a standard steering wheel to pass a mot. Its for a 1994 4G prelude it's proving to be a be a mission to obtain one.

mot regs state its a fail if the airbag light is on. but if there is no light on then its only an advisory. take the bulb out.

Posting an airbag is the issue man, do you just need the SRS light to do it's thing? A resistor can aid you with that y'see ...

It's in a garage just now in the highlands and I'm stuck in aberdeen. The person that had it before me fitted a aftermarket racing wheel which has no airbag an left the light in so I need a stock one as I'm sure they won't turn a blind eye to me just popping the light.

If you like the current steering wheel you have, just take the bulb out then.

Na it's not even a nice one would prefer the stock unit plus the added safety of the airbag is a bonus
