Everytime I get a quote I find it's cheaper to put Lisa on there than not, despite the fact I've got clean licence and >8 years NCB, whereas she has one years NCB and an accident and points within the last 3 years...

insurers give discounts for male & female drivers especially if married

and maybe civil partners too not sure

I think its that they see a couple as more sensible secure people, but can also work if you stick your sister or mum on the policy
