What was throwing me was that the Pro version on the Skunk2 web site was black.

Yeah the alpha looks like it is has a rougher cast finish while the Pro has an anodized finish.

Yeah, just looked briefly for Ultra H22 stuff & couldn't find any. :(

I'll investigate more extensively later..

Ok, next question. Is the said Skunk2 shizzle the pinnacle of excellence in this particular field, or are there other worthy competitors that should be considered?

And, can the Intake manifolds supplied by Skunk2 be improved upon further with a bit of careful machining (Dremel), or are they already 'as good as they can be' for what they are?

Skunk2 aren't the top model of intake manifold for our cars, but they (and modified ATR manifolds) provide the best improvements for the money when mated with other breathing mods and correct tuning.

Wouldn't like to comment about modifying it further, something I've never looked at (or needed to).

Hmm, ok.

So what is the alternative then?

And what you're saying is, for the extra money spent on the 'top model', you don't think the gains are going to be any better than the S2 stuff?

Or, there may be some slight improvements but bang for buck, it probably wouldn't be worth it?

Would a Euro-R IM be better? Whatever that is..

And can someone give me a make of something better or more expensive so I can research it?

All I'm getting is talk about ITB's on Honda-Tech..'Inline Throttle Bodies' I assume. But I don't think I'm ready for that yet.

And while we're on the subject, what 'Fast Road' Cams are best?

Independant/Individual Throttle Bodies (individual one for each cylinder instead of one for a manifold)
