Fit looks really good on that bonnet.
From what I've read of lacquering carbon bonnets when they've been rubbed back (much less experienced than several others on here, I'm sure!) they tend to take lots of coats until it stops soaking in or sinking into the 'holes' in between the weave, but you get there in the end?

Re: LewisH BB8 Motegi 2.2VTi UKDM - New Bonnet
So, today i went to town on the bonnet and spoiler with the wet and dry sand paper. Got some good 50/50 shots of the bonnet, but forgot to get some of the spoiler
My bad.
Here they are from start to finish.

Still needs another session with some 3000 gritt again and some better compound but, im very happy =D

Most of the bonnet pictures are with cloud reflections, but there is one where it is almost all flat from the wet and drying

I half heartedly did my spoiler with just 1500 and 2000 grit very carefully and it looks brilliant compared to what it was I will get some finer paper and go to town on the skirts and spoiler

Re: LewisH BB8 Motegi 2.2VTi UKDM - 18-8-13 - Wet and Dry se
Yeah, i started with 2000, then done it with 2500, then 3000. It needs another going with 3000 and some better compound and they will both be gorgeous as
I always finish on 3000 as it smooths it off a bit and makes it easier to bring back with a machine polisher

Re: LewisH BB8 Motegi 2.2VTi UKDM - 21-10-13
So, today... ive started to strip down my front bumper ready for spraying.
Before...

After ive removed the bumper and sanded it a fair bit...

And i also took out the middle grill from the bumper (just under where the number plate sits)

Bumper is now sitting in primer over night. Will get some pics of that tomorrow and upload them.
