Typical. Haha! Well ill leave it until I can get hold of one any way. Car can't move until then. Now it's just trying to get hold of one ASAP. Being bank holiday weekend this could be a bit of trouble. Luckily I'm not back to work until Wednesday.

:? Never known a fuel pump to fail before? Before you rip it out/buy a new one, you need to check to make sure it is getting a feed ok (otherwise it IS the main relay, which is a common problem) and check that the fuel pump earth is good.

You would have to complicate things Wurly!!

The AA bloke has gone and diagnosed it as being the fuel pump. I know how to get to it, but don't know anything about what you said mate

Serious question, is any one free at all either today or this weekend to help me? Would love to bring it to you but obviously can't move any where :(

The main relay fix is an easy one and you can do where the car is :D
Only 'tool' you need is a soldering iron.
I would do that first, as it's quick and easy and free and it maaaaaay solve your problem. :)
Not to diss Mr AA, but sometimes it's model-specific knowledge that prevails!

Your local mate! I don't have a soldering iron but I'm sure I can get hold of one. Can you come and help?

Mate I honestly would any other time :(
My mum is coming out of hospital today after a couple of very bad weeks, so I'm going to be busy over the next few days. Could maybe spin by in the week, but I expect you'll have it sorted by then?

I can't guarantee but I could try my best on Tuesday if you haven't sorted it by then? Only thing is, if it's not the main relay it doesn't leave you that long to get and fit a fuel pump.

I know. My mechanic said Tuesday he can ring about for a pump. I really need some one to come over either tomorrow or Monday for me
