Crx track (race really) car
Re: Crx track (race really) car - 1st track day
WOW!! The Crx was superb at Cadwell
It is a fantastic circuit.
Here's a video from my 2nd session & was still learning the car & track,
so backing off a bit in the faster stuff
It took me a while to get my head round the short gearing & I ended
up using 4th in some of the corners. By the end of the day I was taking
Coppice in 5th with just a quick dab before turning in
Tried keeping up with my friend in his race R400;
He had a drive in the Crx & was really impressed how well planted
it felt, & was amazed at the Kaaz diff @Merlin
The diff was awesome out of Park corner into Chris Curve & the car
feels like a big invisible hand is pushing it down on the tarmac
Just saw this MG losing control in time & slowed down
Couple of pics;

The MG guy did well/was lucky to hold that. If he'd kept his foot in and opposite lock, it would have turned into a wicked flick round the corner
Love the way he absolutely whiped it off the track in reverse after, probably needed a good few minutes to catch his breath and wipe the poo out of his pants!

Yes, really pleased with the car.
Needs a quieter backbox though - was
Noise tested at 104 db static!
A Clio smacked into the Armco where
the MG had it's off. Looked like a
write off
