Some help for someone who knows nothing about suspension
I think one of my rear springs has broken, as i have a horrible knocking noise coming from the rear when going over bumps.
Now the guy who sold me the car told me it had been lowered, but i have no idea by how much, so i wouldnt know what size spring to get.
Is there any way i can tell?
Also im kind of interested in coilovers, and found this set on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MEGAN-RACING- ... 2314c0bb9f
do they work with the existing suspention setup? and if they do how easy are the to adjust the height? like do you have to take everything apart if you want to adjust them?

Take the wheel off and jack the car up, or jack the car up and take the wheel off, whatever - once off and up you'll be able to see quite clearly whether the spring has broken or not.
Chances are its either your rear upper anti roll bar drop links worn out making a knocking/banging noise, or the infamous shock-knock where the washers at the top of the suspension strut get compressed leaving a little play at the top. A quick search should give you a "how to cure the shock-knock"..
