Ive had a similar issue for some time now
pedal goes down nearly to the deck but brakes still work well - seems to be only in slow moving traffic - only seems to do it once in a while and like youve said pump the pedal and it comes back up. There is a small amount of green algae that collects at the bottom of the mc resevoir and bleeding the brakes seems to fix it for a week or so and then its back.
Not a major problem but ive got my first track day on the 20th
swapped out everything fluid, discs, pads, hoses everything except master cylinder so thats what id replace first if i were you

I've had problems getting the pedal to 'feel' right after changing calipers or hoses, too. I found it needed a lot more fluid bleeding out than I expected/was used to having to do on other cars. After that, it's been fine.
I used DOT4 and bled in the order shown in the manual (went round a couple of times).
Failing which, just take it to Central Tyres (if you have one near you) and ask them to change the fluid. They only charge something like £20 and it's their problem to get it right then
I've had the fluid changed on a couple of cars now (including the UKDM) and they've came back feeling perfect afterwards. Plus it's a no-brainer for that price really once you factor in the fluid cost and time/aggro.

Some real good info, thanks
I will give them another bleeding, infact I am thinking one of my nipples isn't sealing properly, no visible leaks or anything though. I may as well stick my other calipers on, mind you I have about 4 sets to choose from and some legend calipers, but I will be selling them because I cant be arsed.
I Hope it goes away after this next try. Failing that I will look into having my fluid changed, by a pro

Bri, you should be able to use the legend calipers on the lude carriers no? Twin piston goodness without facking about with discs and carriers.
