I don't see that as the major problem, I'm thinking more the vibrations and complete lack of flex. Not to mention when you come out to the car in the winter and it's stone cold, then put hot water through it. OK, it'll get up to temp fairly gradually but still..

The flex wud be in the rubber ends which shud be enough plus if the glass is treated to withstand 500 degrees its got to be bloody strong :)

It will warm up reasonably steadily then, but when you're at full temp and hit a puddle of icy water in the winter, that'll be sudden shock alright!

Iv been told if you put cling film over your pipes its just as good as clear pipes.

I personally prefer harry potters invisibility cloak.
