Timing belt
Hi there everyone,
im away to do the timing belt and drive belts on my BB1 import 2.2 lude, i have had a look on autodata and it states i need a balance shaft locking pin and clamp for this but there seems to be a difference between the 2.2 and the 2.3 mine being an import as far as the V5 is considered its a 2.2 but not 100% sure about this.
can anyone shed any light on this as i will need to buy the locking pin and clamp.
PS any handy hints for doing the belt would be appreciated
Thanks

Balance shaft can be locked through the access hole with a thin screw driver...or similar

the clamp is for the tensioner.

you will also need the bottom pulley socket spanner too.

Have you read the Honda service manual as well?sol-lude wrote:Hi there everyone,

The difference between the h23 and h22 btw is that the h22 has the auto tensioner hardy has pictured below and the h23 has a manual tensioner.
H23 is non vtec, so if yours is a vtec, then it's the h22, not h23.
