On the dyno there have been H22A2's putting some H22A's to shame, so don't get too hung up about having an A2.
To answer your question about manifold and intake...
There's no difference to the intake except the A2 has an extra resonator on the main plenum (u shaped thing) but that wouldn't affect the power. The manifold is cast rather than tubular, cat is slightly longer. The exhaust is different because the JDM has extra heat shields etc. but nothing that would affect restriction compared to a JDM.
Don't know what difference that all adds up to though - there are other reasons why an A2 is allegedly lower power.
