Thanks Ratty, yes I have all the paint etc, but not the masking consumables. Maybe if the're not comfortable with me in the booth, you could do it for appropriate recompense?

I've now done 11k miles in the Vectra without any issue and just took it in for it's MOT, passed with the only advisory being a rose joint rubber boot starting to show cracks.

The tester said it was the cleanest 16 year old car he's seen in a long while.

Well, just passed another MOT earlier in the week.

Then the cambelt went (suspected) and snapped this afternoon. Car currently sat at the highest point on the snake pass getting a good covering of snow.

I was on the way to visit my parents. Fortunately they live about 30 mins from where we broke down. So we are staying there until later this afternoon.
