Rear demister is on page 23-298 and 23-299

It runs off Fuse 32, 33 and 34, 11 and 9.
Fuse 11 must be ok though, because otherwise your engine wouldn't run.

Does the orange light turn on the demister switch, or nothing happen there either?

If nothing happens, then it looks like there's something wrong with either fuse 9, the fuse box in the footwell, or the wiring between the fuse box and the heater/rear window demister control panel (all common to both heater and rear window demister systems).

There's no light on any of the heating or demister or ac controls.
The number 9 fuse 15a was blown so replaced that but nothing happened. So could be something wrong with the wires from the fuse box to the heater controls?

Have you checked the fluids at all since buying the car? (oil and coolant).
What was the temperature gauge showing?

This may have happened becasue the fuse for your internal blower is also the fuse for the relay for the radiator fans etc... so your engine has overheated since it isnt being cooled as it should.

Since your engine has over heated and you blower does not work that points to fuse 9 in the foot well fuse box. If the fuse is 100% good (I recommend swapping it out anyway) follow the trouble shooting guides in the service manual. There is a trouble shooting guide for every section of the manual.

Yep, it's all pointing to fuse 9/fuse box/wiring from fuse 9 on fuse box.

If that fuse has blown again, then something on that circuit must be faulty and be repeatedly blowing it.
Shouldn't be too hard to track it down.

As you say, if the radio has been replaced that might be a good place to start because it's possible they knicked a wire inside the centre console and it's shorting to ground.

Fuse 9 hasn't blown since I replaced it. There's a Clifford alarm fitted too and they have joined on to a lot of wires down near the fuse box too :-( so it's a wire that's messed up somewhere. So annoying! Getting really annoyed with it.

I really drokking hate aftermarket alarms, I ripped my one out. I think you need to get in there and see what wires have been messed with. The wiring diagrams in the back of the service manual will be a help. Either that or give the car to an auto electrician to have a look at.
