Just noticed my battery light came on this morning,when it did the rev counter went erratic then stopped working along with speedo.. They are both working fine again but light is still on... Any ideas?? Dodgy alternator maybe

Alternator or earth problem most likely.

Yep, sounds like a shagged alternator.
