Best Android Apps???

Post by macky_6 » Wed Dec 18, 2013 11:01 pm

Hey all,

Got myself the New Sony Xperia Z tablet :D

As I am a recent convert from Apple, I was wondering if you guys could recommend any decent Apps?

Games/fun/utilities/cool etc.

Will be geting an android phone at the end of the month too so Apps for that also.

What about cool tablet specific Apps?

Decent car games? Real Racing looks pretty cool!

Thanks in advance :D

Only had my droid phone for 3 weeks, and currently have:

Swype - amazing virtual keyboard
Yatse - XBMC remote
No led - for missed call notifications
Llama - to shut everything down at night for battery life
Google sky map - because it's cool

mx player - For films etc
ex file explorer - also lets you view network shares so you can stream videos's etc from your computer

Games wise

Simpsons tapped out
Swordigo - platformer that's pretty good and the controls don't suck
Revolt - Classic Dreamcast RC car racing game
Carmageddon

And then you have a whole host of emulators you can run to play back catalogues of old console games

Not a big app person myself but have to agree on this one - it's a great media player.

Sorry @Donald, my mum passed away  Very tough times TBH.

@macky_6 Thought of another couple:

Pixel-DMS - Great when used with a PS3, you can stream all your vids and music from your phone 8-) (I dare say the 360 may do this too)
Galaxy on Fire 2 - Only just getting into this, but a very slick looking space shooter, if a bit corny
