Help reading codes.

Post by GreenyUK » Mon Dec 23, 2013 6:28 pm

Hi. Some of you might of read over in the engine section I've got some problems with my new prelude. I've read the EML light which was code 12 and the ABS code, forget what that was.

Now my 4WS light and SRS light flash when I short out the service connector. These lights are not on whilst driving, well they came on once but have not had them on since.

Could some one please tell me what's the codes are? The 4ws light goes nuts.

Cheers guys.

If the light isnt on while the engine is running it will be a stored code. The ECU will hold all the fault codes untill the ECU is reset.

Hmm well that's strange then, because the other day when my car cut out I reset the Ecu at the side of the road to see if it helped ( which it seemed to as I got home ok.

So their shouldn't be any stored codes?
This was filmed tonight about an hour or so ago :?:

 really well i defiantly don't drive with the hand brake on lol unless I see some young Burberry mums walking past so to display my mastering capabilities I pretend I'm RWD

Although the other day when the car cut out, the eml and abs were on, but just before it stopped the brake lamp light came on as did the hand brake light or parking brake :D

Yeah, 4ws is code 74. The rapid flashing after, is the ECU going from the 4ws main ECU into the 4ws sub ECU.
If you read the manual, it explains all this.
