Was going to ask about your clocks, ie do speedo and rev counter go mental when you blip the throttle? Had that happen when the drive shaft was not sitting right on the wifes old car. Stupid 50p circlip later and problem solved.

Gutted for you all this work later and you find it's the driveshaft, but glad at least you've found it now!

 Didn't I read somewhere that you reassembled with different shafts from Darryl's garage though? :?

No . the passenger side wasn't removed from the hub, only pulled out of the box, because the hub nut couldn't be undone....

I tried turning the driveshaft the opposite way to the brake disc and I could only get them to move in the same direction ( obviously not having enough strength by hand to really see the CV joint being drokked)

No, he's using my driveshafts off of @knightmare's UKDM BB4 breaker. He's fitted the drivers side & just needs to get the passenger side off Darryl. Though both cv joints will be shagged due to having to grind the nuts off, all I need is the 'gearbox end' of the shafts for my conversion. So I can just take his. ;)

Glad to hear she's back on the road mate. :D

Have you plugged everything in?

And did it actually work before you took it all apart?
