No I mean test the resistance of coil and icm etc. Must be something in the 5th gen manual.

Yea that's what i mean lol. We have tested faulty coils before and its still shown that the resistance is within spec. But change the coil and it works!! :shock:

Coil resistance can be ok at the low voltage a multimeter will test at, but break down at higher voltages.

Such arse balls.
I bought a 2nd hand dizzy only to fine the delivery company must have dropped it and broke the harness clip.
Anyway i swapped over the ignitors and coils, dizzy cap and rotor and gave it crank.

Nothing... :roll:

:roll: after alot of testing both ignitors and coils i have a fine but both dizzy caps are completely shot. No spark at all on the caps. :evil:

Sounds like your missing the spring between the coil and dizzy cap??

What a nightmare bud!

So are you waiting on new caps? Rotor arms too while you at it, or are your numerous ones ok? :?

I thought this was going to be a Greddy issue, so stumped its still got issues with it unplugged.

Hope its as 'simple' as a new cap buddy. :D
