Gayno wrote:It's probably not hacked, but a malware/spyware/trojan trying to get out and contact it's server.

Booting into safemode and running virus scans should clear it out for you.

Also, kudos on deleting your browsing history ;) nudge nudge
Exactly what Gayno said there. Its malware by the sounds of it. See this jobby all day long at my work. Mcaffe for one, isnt a great antivirus. need to get something better that will scan and remove malware as well as virus's and spyware buddy. Be looking at something a bit more exspensive like Bullguard, Bitdefender or Kaspersky, but its well worth it.

Can also download a program called Malwarebytes to do the Malware scan on the laptop and remove it hopefully.

On this subject...

Did anyone else notice this the other day? Made me lol

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-25631183
a reporter talking about a presentation from some bloke at Intel wrote:One part of his presentation, however, marked the end rather than the start of an era - the decision to rename the firm's security products division.

It is ditching the McAfee brand and replacing it with Intel Security.

The controversial founder of the security business, John McAfee, told the BBC he was overjoyed by the news.

"I am now everlastingly grateful to Intel for freeing me from this terrible association with the worst software on the planet. These are not my words, but the words of millions of irate users.

"My elation at Intel's decision is beyond words."
