I've got TomTom on android. It works ok, but the routes are sometimes a bit crazy even compared to a stand alone TomTom unit and it spazzes out and will only recognise the first 3 digits of a postcode sometimes.
I tryied copilot but didn't really get on with it and as I use my tablet for satnav it couldn't cope with the hi-res screen.
Sygic was good, it was a toss up between that and TomTom, although if TomTom had a demo version i'd prob have bought sygic instead

I do about 45-50k a year so I use the right tool for the right job ................. get a real tom-tom and use your phone to play the music!
That said my power lead for tom broke recently when I was in London so I used the maps app that was already on my I-phone. Had no issues, in fact it was nice to have siri's soothing voice guide me around the madness that is our capital and the lane information it gives you coming up to junctions is accurate. Just remember that if you using sat-nav and playing music your battery lasts about half an hour!

I have a couple of mates who're mobile service techs. One of them has a Garmin and the other a TomTom. they normally drive if we're going to a car show or whatever, somewhere (fuel allowance etc.) so I'm used to seeing the kit in action. I really can't see any benefit in those systems over using a decent app on my phone though?94-si-vtec-jdm wrote:I do about 45-50k a year so I use the right tool for the right job ................. get a real tom-tom and use your phone to play the music!![]()

Pioneer MVH8300BT. Takes an SD card (only one) so i now only have two SD cards in the car, one in the HU and one in the ashtray. Saves on the hundreds of MP3 CDs i used to have lying around. Also go a USB slot in the front to play from a USB stick, or phone, although i don't use it.94-si-vtec-jdm wrote:What's your HU?Shiny wrote:2 x 32gb SD cards, SD slot on the HU, sorted
SD card players are definitely the way forward.
