Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

Don't thank me, thank Google!

And now MMS is working, make sure 3G still lets you browse the web!

Yesh! This is a fight I've had with O2 before, for such a big network you think they'd be able to give you settings that work. Keep googling, forums are our friends!

Very annoying. I've requested the settings from O2 via SMS and they say no I have to call a 25p/minute number.

Everywhere I look has the same settings as those that worked but killed my browsing.

So for now I reset to default and I can do everything when not on WiFi. When I am on WiFi I can send MMS and they get there fine, but no receiving.

As you said I shouldn't have to drokk about with settings from the second largest network in the UK.

Time for a change? I'm only PAYG so it's no real hassle.

If you are asking for suggestions, I'm quite into Three - although PAYG is a scam on any network.

I'd take a rolling monthly contract Three do called "Ultimate Internet SIM 200 1 month" for £12.90 a month. Ditch it any time you like, so PAYG convenience with contract prices:
  • All-you-can-eat data
  • 200 minutes
  • 5,000 texts

I don't work for Three btw, just get asked stuff like this a lot so have done my research.

Thanks for the suggestion but I'll be staying on PAYG. I only top up a tenner every six weeks or so, so I'm not keen on the idea of committing to something monthly - regardless of how easy it is to cancel.

I was thinking more on suggestions for a decent network. O2 seems to be having a lot of service outages recently and my signal strength is 1 bar in my house, terrible tbh.

All I need is around 150 minutes, 1000 or so texts and some data. In the whole of December I only used 28MB  At the moment I'm getting way more than I use and only for a tenner.

Am I being difficult?

I'll be honest, I'm on O2, have been for years, but I won't be changing any time soon.

Yes they're a little more expensive than the other networks, but their call centres are in the UK and any time I have phoned them their customer service has been brilliant.
