the law is pretty clear : you CANNOT modify your car in any way without having it inspected by a special service ("la DRIRE") which will 99% always refuse performance enhancing. but it's also pretty clear that it's not forbidden to do it, it's forbidden to get caught doing it...

i guess you're talking about the Acadyane ? a more recent copy of the "deuch", but still the same engine / chassis !

Hi Valenzo, I can't remember the name of the Citroen van, my maître had, but it was built from 'Tole Ondule' just like a 2cv and was from the same era. My ex took her 3500 Rover across at the same time, had a hell of a job getting it through the 'Service Des Mines'. It was a '74 model, and they basically wanted us to convert all parts to modern standards!! The TVA authorities also wanted us to pay import duty based on a brand new Rover at the time, rather than its actual value, which was a tenth of a new one. This was all in '91 when integration wasn't as good as these days.
