Only if it knows there's a fault with the sensor. For this problem, as far as the ECU is concerned, the sensor is working fine - it doesn't know that what the sensor is reading isn't the proper exhaust gas mixture.GreenyUK wrote:Well seems to be using lots of fuel so it certainly looks like it's pointing towards the emission thing. Although wouldn't the O2 sensor have it's own code?
Check the EGR valve again to be sure as well. How did you clean it? Mine was in a right jobby state when I took it off last year, took tons of carb cleaner and scraping to get it clean!

Well just been out in the car again after I left for a few hours to go cold, was only a shirt journey
Maybe a mile but it didn't miss a beat. But if the o2 sensor is heated I'm confused at why it was fine :/
Wurly I've actually just ordered a tap and die set so I can do the full egr clean.
It was extremely dirty when I did it unfortunatly, I didn't get a picture of before but this is the after.

Yeah as mec says, it has a gasket. You could probably get away with a decent liquid gasket on it tbh though.
That looks ok from underneath. Did you clean it out inside as well and does the valve move ok? (You can operate it from the diaphragm IIRC?)
If so, then that should be fine.
