Yeah i cleaned up urs an it drove home fine an smooth but will find out 2morr morning as its freezing out there so if its not going to start it will be then

The problem is if it comes away from the engine at any point and loses the earth whilst you're doing it. Best way is to get a jump lead, and earth the plug in the jaws.

I don't know, it's what the forum people told me when mine went and I said I tried the above method!!
