I still gave this misfire after the temp repair. Only when the car is warm though?

Could this be a timing issue? Maybe a tooth out or something? I've read that if your timing is not right with theses it can run like it's on 3 cylinders.
When it is misfiring it pops and bangs a lot so is over fuelling.

Getting home is now more worrying.. :?

does sound like a timing issue or maybe a bad lead/plug have you checked the plugs after it has done it?

Was going to say the same as merc. I had this many years ago on my old cavalier, tried everything and it turned out to be a cracked ceramic on a spark, when checking the business end of them I was holding it in the socket, so overlooked it. Lesion learned for life!
Only happened under load too, would idle fine.

Spark plugs? No I haven't actually. I wasn't aware the timing could be adjusted on these there's no way to move the dissi cap, thought it was all electronically done?

Yes this only happens under load at first. And when warm. However if I've been out in it for a while and it's hot, once Parker it up it sometimes! Will miss with a rev but it's mostly under load. If I pull off real slow it seems to be ok. And some times I can rev through it by changing down etc.

Yep, I'd be checking the sparks and HTs first. You could run the car at night lift the bonnet up and see if you've got arcing across the HTs.
Start with the simple stuff, check dizzy cap and rotor arm contacts too.
Sorry if you've already done that, haven't read the whole thread  8-)

Also, if you have a cracked spark, it would open up when warm :!: :?:

Hey, good idea I'll do that, not tonight though as have no tools what so ever :/ so can't even remove the plug cover lol.
No need to apologise mate, I've no looked at the dizzy or rotor arm to be honest. I normally over look the simple stuff as I tend to over think and complicate things

Good to have ruled out the exhaust anyway - that was starting with the simple stuff!
