just incase there is any interest in this on here and you would like some more photos in its current state then here we go.
Image
it may be covered in moss but i didnt notice any rot in it
the mugen front bumper does indeed have a seperate piece you like to call a grill
Image
Image
Image
looking at it from the inside it seems to be a high quality.
gearbox code
Image
there is a box of gearbox internals inside the car which would seem to back up robs claims of the alterations done to it
Image
the bride seats seem to be in perfect condition but my fat ass would not fit in the wider drivers side seat
Image
some nice fancy pullys and alloy radiator
Image
Image
Image
even the battery clamp was a polished alloy item
Image
brakes have alloy bells and would probably clean up
Image
Image
rear suspension top
Image
even has a full tank of petrol (may be a little stale now)
Image
so there we go.

  wow rob you must be heartbroken looking at that how it is even when my 4g was off the road for 2years I never let it get like that I washed it every week and jacked it up and cleared the brakes. you really must have lost heart with it.

good luck with selling it do you know if you can still get the mugen grill piece?

My only issue here (and i'm not getting at Rob or anyone else here) would be that the car doesn't start and is in a bit of a state, it belongs to someone with mechanical knowledge so why would he not at least get it running (and/or wash it) to improve the price. Its the same as when you get people selling a car and saying "has no MOT but just needs handbrake adjusted to pass". You'd just get the handbrake done and put a fresh ticket on to double the value.

I know that time could be an issue etc, but i'm just voicing what other buyers would be thinking.

Have you thought of breaking the car yourself Rob?

There are no secrets here, I have enough money to get the car up and running, in fact I'll be getting rid of my 350z for either a NIsmo 370z or GT-R soon if I end up staying in the country, I've listed it for only a thousand pounds which I consider a steal because I wouldn't feel right just giving it away.

I work 6 days a week I have no time or inclination to restore or break the car myself, the car is the way it is as I've been away for a long time, the car does not start as the petrol is probably gunk, the injectors, spark plugs, battery are probably FUBAR that is why it won't start and that would be obvious to anyone reading the auction

Hope that helps clarify things :D

I'm aware that you won't be breaking but ever considered removing a simple bolt on/off item to sell? Item in question would be the tanabe rear strut brace :D ...perhaps your old man could manage if you're not around? Couldn't see it being a deal breaker to any potential ebay buyers either...will leave that one with you anyway ;)
Sorry I'm not going to be able to help with that, the car goes as a whole, I've got other stuff that I might chuck in for free depending on how much it goes for, but the car goes as is in about 30 hours 8-)

I know I've got at least one new ACT 6 pad racing clutch plate spare, maybe two, a pair of new OEM boot lifters from a Civic I was going to fit to the bootlid, plus a re-printed Honda Prelude workshop manual in 2 lever arch folders, not sure what else but if the price goes high enough I'll be chucking these things in for free plus whatever else I can find that I don't need any more to save me the hassle of eBaying them all separately, hth ;)
