Anyone know what happened to this car?

Banter goes here, and doesn't have to be Lude related

My van isn't on the mid. But I'm insured. The amount of time Anpr camera cars pull me over (3 now) because I don't appear on the mid. But I have proof and a quick call and I'm on my way.

There are a number of reasons why a vehicle may not show on the MID, from input errors, passing through vehicles, motor traders forgetting to update the MID, or fleet operators. Also manual policies could take a while to populate the MID. Chances are it isn't insured as it is SORN'd, but the MID check tool isn't designed for that purpose.

It is merely a tool for vehicle owners that have paid insurance to check that their vehicle is showing as insured on the MID. For example, a few years back i took my policy off Direct Debit at renewal and paid the premium in full, the Insurers cocked up the account and didn't update the MID at renewal.

I had paid in full and had a certificate in my hand, but a routine check i did on the MID showed my vehicle as not listed. Quick phone call to the insurers and all was sorted.

You need to phone your insurers and get this sorted.

So they haven't fixed the accuracy of it then  Fantastic when all enforcement is moving over to relying entirely upon it :tosser:

i had this problem after renewal last year and it took a damn site more than a quick phone call i can tell you, about 2 weeks to sort it out and the threat of being prosecuted for no insurance looming over me for a while too. even though i could show a cover note the police were not convinced, they can impound your car and when you prove you have insurance you can have it back................... for £150 release fee  :o  :o

:?
Don't you have a motor trader policy anyway (so you're insured on any car e.g. so it includes customers cars that in your possession)?
