Window not working (passenger side)

My passenger windown on my BB4 has stopped working
took the door card off and couldnt see any problem - central locking and electric folding mirrors all work ok
window on driver side working.

so am i safe to assume its the motor thats gone or something wrong with the black control box
or
is there anything else i should check - im assuming its not a fuse as drivers window works ok etc

any help appreciated

Stupid questions time - so appologies if it sounds like I think you're a rhubarb (I don't!)

but need to start with these...

Does it not work from either the passenger side switch, or drivers side switch, or only tried on one of those?

Also

it isn't switched off on the drivers side, is it?

Assuming it's none of those, I would start by checking with a multimeter that the passenger side motor has a good earth.

no it doesnt work from either drivers side or passenger side switch

dont know what you mean by it isnt switched off on drivers side - thats not possible is it

got the door card off so will check the earth on the window motor like you say

checked all the fuses in the footwell and they are ok

If "main" is switched off, your windows won't work...
