Is it always the mornings when it's bad? But on the times it's ok, it's in the evening? Could be temperature related?
If so, I would start with the gearbox oil again...
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I kind of get similar sometimes - the variability, the variable/2-stage clutch engagement.... I've checked cylinders, changed fluid, changed transmission fluid... no change. It is a bit stiff when cold, too, but that seems to be a different thing.
All told, it's not getting worse in 10K and is more of an oddity than a problem so I've stopped worrying about it.

Wurly : no, it can be both, none, morning only or evening only. and seeing my working hours, temperatures are more or less the same.
Doggo : well that sucks. when i say it's impossible to shift without double-clutching, it's really this. i hope a gb fluid change could fix that. i heard a slight whistle while driving at "high" speed, maybe a lack of oil.
thanks for your feedback !
