Re: 5th Gen 2.2 Motegi
Yeah I was playing a little.
There are dyno printouts from a place called DSA in 2007 with before bhp of 192.7 and 150 ftlbs torque. Estimated whp 160.4
After the sc was fitted 3 days later it was recorded on the same dyno as having 228.4bhp and 181ftlbs of torque.
There's a graph showing 192whp. All runs done in 3rd gear. Is that normal or is 4th a better 1/1 ratio??
That was at 0.5 bar boost I think. So gives it an extra 30 bhp and 30 ftlbs of torque. I guess upgrading the manifold and exhaust and mapping with a fully programmable ecu would see a bit more out if it.
Thanks for posting that link Nick.
Just goes to show that a phone call and a visit to see a car is worth it. The old guy didn't know too much about it but was into his cars. He wasn't very clued up with computers and had just started using gumtree. I had a laugh at the comments saying it was probably an electric supercharger, I was looking at pictures I had been sent of it at that time and arranged to see it the next day.
It's not going to be a doner car yet, vtecmec. It's really tidy apart from the fading. Don't think it will take much to get it on the road.

Re: 5th Gen 2.2 Motegi
Aside from the JSRC Kit it's got
Tein super street coilovers
Tein top mounts
Tein EDFC.
Aem long arm induction kit
Hks voltage stabiliser kit.
Goodridge braided brake hoses
Decat
Drilled and grooved discs
Yokohama parada spec 2 tyres all round with plenty of life in them.
There's a full kenwood/infinity sound system in it as well. Speakers sub, amp, 10 disc changer.
Had a bit of money thrown at it over the years.

Does it make much difference on an NA setup?wurlycorner wrote:![]()
Would an induction kit make any difference on a f/i setup though?
