New Radiator price suspicions (for my Xantia not Lude)

Post by wurlycorner » Mon Mar 10, 2014 4:25 pm

Need to replace the rad in the Xantia (one of the jobs queuing up to be finished on it :roll: )

Obviously I don't want to pay more than I have to, and considering they come with a 2 year warranty, why am I suspicious about this nice and cheaply priced part?

Also why the arse does what seems to be the same part (looking at the diagram) seem to be on sale with the same vendor at 3 different prices? (£59 above)

£60;

I need a nearside rear foglight/reversing light too (lense is cracked). GSF list one.

So even though for the rad, they're £35 cheaper than a guy I've been using for decades (located just round the corner from @h10ndr in Victoria Road, as it happens) I'm going with him!!!

I do like to go back to him anyway tbh - I might only ring him once every 2 or 3 years now (literally) but whenever I do, he still knows exactly who I am by name! :D

He also has on the shelf a genuine Citroen boxed light for that side, complete with bulb holder (result, because I've already bought one without the bulb holder and it uses a different bloody bulb holder to the existing one on the car! :troll: )

Job done! (or rather, jobs now to do...)
