I paid £850 for mine and it's in really surprisingly good conditionDoobie wrote:Not when you can buy a Lude for less than the amount it weighs in for no its not bias... Most types of cars bottom price sticks at a hundred or two above its scrap value. The ones that don't all get scrapped pretty quickly. Of the two Ludes I bought this week I paid £100 over scrap for the first one which was well worth it as it only cost me another £100 to get a years mot on it. So even if I run it for a year and scrap it ( not what I am planning) It will have cost me nothing by the time I sell a few bits and weigh it in. The second one I bought for spares is still taxed and moted for two months but in reality it would cost more than it would be worth to put it through another mot. As a spares car it is ideal though and again its a no lose situation.Sailor wrote:Could it be that we're all a bit biased?
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

That is beautiful i don't care what anyone else says unless they agreeBri wrote:Well, I thought I would jump in here and say I have just fallen back in love with the ludes now I have finally got mine running as it should.
Wasn't there a post recently showing that there are less than 4,500 ludes in the UK? They are dropping like flies and out of all the millions of cars in the UK there are very few ludes! Its up to you what you ask for the car. I have heard many people say in the past that it was a bit of a joke, but you know what.... When you get kids going wow look at that car when the car is 3 times older than the kid, you know you have a cool car, the yanks go mad for them and the aussies, and everyone else, maybe its just the brits like the euro tubs too much.
I don't care what anybody says (although I like the good comments) I love my ludes, always have, always will.

i must admit i dont like the stock front end of the 4th gen. it looks too beaky. it needs at least a lip or splitter or something to lower the line. i dont think i would have fallen in love and bought mine if it didnt have the body kit on it.
but aside from that its an amazing car and i love it, even if mine is a bit of a dog and spends most of its time being fixed rather then driven!
