Seems like he's fitted forged pistons without sleeving the block?

I'd say that would be worth a crack!

There are some nice bits gone into that engine...

Simon didn't have his lude sleeved IIRC when it was turbo'd, he just had mahle pistols and that ran for a good while as a daily car.

Mahle golds are the only piston designed to run in the frm liners, everything else will just wear out the block.

looks like a cheap ebay turbo kit,

and he's cheaped out on the engine management.. I just wouldn't touch it

but if he used the wiseco pistons, I hope he figured out he needs to sleeve the block
