TBH, it's not the end of the world if the friction surfaces were sprayed - it'll rub straight off when the car moves for the first time/first time the brakes are applied (though it might take a few seconds before they get full bite)

The friction area on rail vehicle discs come sprayed over (to protect them from corrosion in transit/storage).

(that's red paint, not rust...)

So you're saving that 5G headlights weigh the same as a train yes?

Good.

Glad we've clarified that.

Yea, I didn't bother masking the friction surface and just let them get covered by some over-spray while I was painting the centre section... 8-)

I've read some rants on line about not painting the friction surface- but that applies to people actually planning on power coating or using some other heavy duty paint/lacquer and really painting the entire dics.. that's not good. :o

The overspray was worn off after I bleed the brakes and had turned the brake discs by hand 2-3 times :D I have no worries :D

I've always wondered what these wheels would look like on a 5th gen, that does look nice. 8)

There is still some progress slowly under-way, even though I'm not documenting it very well..
But I attended the local yearly Honda meet her in Denmark - and the little Lude got quite some attention - Here are some pictures of how it looked on that day :)

I'll make sure to do some writeups of the many small special changes and modifications soon ;)
