Have you done engine swaps etc before then? What do you do for a living? Mechanic?

He's done a few, yep - take a look at his Anglia thread in the non-lude profiles section...

Incidentally, check the gearbox crunch on your phantom grey one/no crunch on the green one, isn't because the grey one has the M2B4 LSD box and the gren one doesn't...

There's different gear box's between 1 year L reg and N?

Check the codes on the front of the gearbox to make sure.

Not difference in years of preludes (the M2B4 was available from the start of build) but depends what was fitted to your 2 cars at build (though I'm not sure that UKDM's were even available with the M2B4 box as an option?) or retro-fitted since.
