Charged K20a Prelude Type S
Re: Charged K20a Prelude Type S
Thanks for putting my mind at rest, like you guys say it looks like condensation as there is hardly anything in the sump which is the first place it would accumulate if the water pump seal was compromised.
Will get it cleaned out and run the engine long enough to evaporate the condensation

Re: Charged K20a Prelude Type S
I seem to have read of quite a few Luders who have put their cars through MOT and now its my turn
Yup, finally got my ABS functioning by using an ABS computer and 22pin connecter bought from Cebul (thanks mate
) I depinned the 26pin connector and repined the 22 using only the wires as shown in the standard Lude ABS wiring diagram, low and behold it started functioning like it should and now the MOT is booked in for 2 this afternoon.
Wish me luck

Re: Charged K20a Prelude Type S
I'm a little scared of this Ratty fella... lol
Well got some bad news, failed on two items, inboard steering rubber split, & emissions. Lambda value is ever so slightly out at fast idle and the CO emissions were out by quite a bit. 1.1% and the max limit is 0.3%. They reckon the CAT is the culprit for the CO but I also think the IAT's of 60c doesn't help, I think the car runs richer the hotter the IATs get..

Good job on the ABS matey
. The CO is indeed controlled by the cat. if its high, there is a good chance that the cat is fubard
. The lambda is controlled by the Oxygen sensor. So may not be working 100%. The engines computer will lean out the mixture as heat rises, to protect from pre ignition, and to keep the AFR in check
. Inlet temps don't usually affect the MOT emissions tho
