I'm thinking of here;
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Har ... 0bc781eadc
It's just off the M11, just a couple of mins from the airfield, big car park etc.
Only thing is they don't open until 10am, so if they close off the car park when they're shut, that won't work
It's only half an hour away from me though, so I'll head over there one evening and see if the car park gets locked up or not and firm it up yay/nay.
Start time for this is now showing as 9am.
Considering a few of you are coming from quite some way away (unlike me) what's a reasonable time for the majority to meet up for?

May I suggest an alternative? I'm from Harlow originally and I know that Garden centre well. They may be open and may not, but the car park is pretty sketchy and gravel like, not really decent for lowered cars etc.
If you go one more turn over the roundabout and take the Epping exit there is a McDonalds about 20 metres off the roundabout with a nice flat carpark. Plus of course you can get brekkie there before going back around the roundabout to the North Weald exit.
On your map link there, look left across from the garden centre over the motorway and that's your McDonalds right there where it says London Road.
I'll be going too, but I don't know what time I'll be turning up as yet. Not that you'd wait for me. NOT THAT YOU CARE.

Come join my stupid nonsense crusade. It's like a cult, but more pointless.

I second this. Because last year, or the one before, I had a clubstand for Players [at the same place] and ignorantly planned to meet everyone in that garden centre car park as it was on our route. We turned up and the gates were shut - there was just space outside the gates for ONE car and we weren't all convoying together so I had to go on a mad texting rampage to let everyone to know we'd be meeting elsewhere at the last minute. It became a massive hash up and I will never, ever plan to meet somewhere without checking it out, during a similar time to we'd be meeting, again.

Yep, like I said, I'll head over there and check it out before hand. I did notice the Maccy D's, but main concern there is that it's a small car park and pretty much guaranteed to be where all the other car clubs pick to meet up for early morning breakkie/convoy
Likewise the pub a bit further down the A414...

I might be going to this. I have no idea if I'll tax the Honda for this, or if I'll just bring the trike or the bug. It all depends on weather.
