more help for are track car thanks

Post by spudep91 » Wed Apr 16, 2014 12:51 am

Me again ;) . Are last track day on Sunday past there we only got 3 runs then the inner cv joint on passenger side jobby itself. So we had to waste a couple of hours driving back to my friends yard to get an other shaft we had there and get back to fit it for abit more track time. Anyhow got in in then few more sessions round the clutch went right to the floor. So bleeded it a bit and it came back. Then on my way round an ither session it went flat again but came back after a couple of seconds. So do you think it just needs a good bleeding of the fluid. Thanks in advance

Worth trying a bleed, but have a really good look for any leaks from the master and slave cylinders.

Before you did the last one, had the Clutch reservoir level dropped at all, or was it still full?

Kind of strange. I would check all of the copnents of the hydraulic part of the clutch system. Do you still have the original clutch dampener?

check the bleed nipple is done up tight, you might be pulling air back in.
